MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him become a part of mainstream Latin music. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. The artist released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It peaked at 8 spots on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, the singer teamed with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that was an album that was a Top Five hit. He collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He later that year, came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. He appeared in 2021 in a duo with TINI on her cult music video Maldita Foto. The year 2023 was when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. While his initial goal was to be a vet, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with a Cuban.
